OUR HISTORY
The foundation of our company was laid in 1979 by Nanne Kooiman, the founder of the Mechanization Company at Handelsweg 10. With nothing more than his two hands and a strong work ethic, Nanne started his business in a rented barn, driven by the belief: “If it can’t be done in Andijk, it can’t be done anywhere in the world.” It quickly became clear that there was a market for his services. His very first job was repairing a tractor for a construction company that helped him set up his premises. From that moment on, Nanne was never out of work.
With a background in technical studies and additional training in Business Management and Administration, Nanne developed his company with a focus on technical perfection and a passion for the trade. The company grew steadily over the years, always striving for quality and reliability. “We didn’t specialize broadly, but narrowly and deeply,” Nanne once said. This focused specialization, combined with excellent service, has become the strength of our company.
Today
Today, Mechanization Company Nanne Kooiman continues to thrive under new leadership. In 2024, the torch was passed to Wim Kooiman and Brian Kooiman, who carry on the business with the same dedication. Since 2020, we have fully focused on field vegetable cultivation. We specialize in everything related to planting vegetables, such as soil cultivation and fertilization systems. We go beyond standard products; we design and build custom-made machines, from components to finished products, including designing and constructing the frames ourselves.
Our custom concept has proven successful and has contributed to the growth of our company. With a facility of 2400 m² on a 6300 m² lot, we have ample space to conduct our activities with our team of employees and to optimally serve our clients in the field vegetable sector. The customer’s needs always come first.
